Greg Parmer
sondra parmer
barb struempler
Auburn Univ, Alabama

decision to build this app because of obesity issues in Alabama
is an app the right thing or would an ibook or something else do the job

ios developer enterprise or ios developer program.  it takes time to set this up.  need a DUNS number to set up the account.

the gaming element of this app will entice kids to use it.  it also makes this app more appropriate for an app rather than an ibook.

if it needs sound, make sure  it is done professionally.  audacity works but is not the best quality.

voice is done with CrazyTalk 6 and amateur talent

is very slow process.  it may take several years.  their app had 2561 committed changes, and more than 70 versions

they use the softeware Casper Suite for app management.

challenges:
it is a new process and not a lot of experience
time
knowing when to stop developing
maintenance of hardware is ongoing

Successes:
admimistrators will let this into classrooms.
kids have fun with it
